Wheel Bearing Housing

Wheel Bearing Housing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench 40-200 Nm (VAG 1332)

Removing

-

Remove the wheel.

-

Remove the coil spring. Refer to --> [ Coil Spring ] See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair/Coil Spring.

Remove the wheel hub and bearing. Refer to --> [ Wheel Bearing and Hub ] See: Wheel Bearing/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension/Wheel
Bearing and Hub.

Remove the cover plate.

-

Remove the wheel speed sensor from the wheel bearing housing.

-

Remove the bolt - arrow -.

-

Remove the bolts for the tie rod - 1 -, upper transverse link - 2 - and lower transverse link - 3 - from wheel bearing housing - 4 -.

-

Remove the coupling rod bolt - arrow - from the wheel bearing housing.

-

Hold the wheel bearing housing firmly and remove bolts -  arrows -.
