Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Ball joint puller (3287A)

‹› Torque wrench 40-200 Nm (VAG 1332)

Removing

-

Remove the nut - 1 - and remove the wire from the E-box.

-

Remove the nut and remove the ground wire - 2 -. 

-

Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 -.

-

Guide the wiring harness out of all the brackets on the longitudinal member so it can be removed together with the steering gear.
