Rear Cross-Member: Service and Repair
Tie Rod

Tie Rod

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench 5-50 Nm (VAG 1331)

‹› Torque wrench 40-200 Nm (VAG 1332)

Removing

-

Remove the wheel.

-

Remove the coil spring. Refer to --> [ Coil Spring ] See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and
Repair/Coil Spring.

Remove the nut - 1 - and remove the coupling rod -  2 - from the stabilizer bar.

-

Remove bolt - arrow - for the tie rod - 3  -.

-

Remove the bolts - arrows - for the stabilizer bar bracket.

-

Remove the nut - arrow - and remove the bolt toward the rear.
