Sunroof / Moonroof Lift Mechanism: Service and Repair

Front Sunroof Glass Panel Tilt Mechanism and Cable

Removing

-

Remove the front glass sunroof panel. Refer to --> [ Glass Panel ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Glass Panel.

Remove the rear glass sunroof panel. Refer to --> [ Rear Glass Panel ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Glass Panel.

Remove the assembly frame from the vehicle. Refer to --> [ Assembly Frame ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Assembly
Frame.

Remove sunroof motor. Refer to --> [ Sun Shade Motor ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Sun Shade Motor.

Remove the rear lid from the assembly frame. Refer to --> [ Sunroof Rear Lid ] See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Sunroof Rear
Lid.

Push the tilt mechanism to the rear after removing the rear lid.

CAUTION!
Before removing the cables, note their position to avoid making a mistake when re-installing.

The tilt mechanism may not be pulled or pushed on the guide rail.

Press the glass sunroof panel tilting mechanism only on those guiding slot locations - arrow - - 2 -, and not on the rails - 3 -.

‹› The tilt mechanism opens when pushed.

Slide the tilt mechanism - 2 - on the guide slots -  arrow - to the rear using a suitable screwdriver and off the guide rails - 1 -.
