Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces for the brake pads on the brake carrier, and remove any corrosion.

Clean the brake caliper, especially the adhesive surface for the brake pad, it must be free of residual adhesive and grease.

Use only appropriate solvents for cleaning the brake caliper.

Installing

Before pressing piston into the cylinder, some brake fluid must be extracted from the brake fluid reservoir. Otherwise, especially if the
reservoir has been topped off, fluid will overflow and cause damage.

Press the piston in using the (T10145).

Remove the protective foil on the backing plate of the outer brake pad.

Install the outer brake pad to the brake carrier.

Insert the inner brake pad with retaining spring to the brake caliper (piston side).

When installing the brake caliper, make sure that brake pads are not affixed to the brake caliper before the correct installation position has been
reached.

Do not damage the adhesion surface.

Tighten the brake caliper to the brake carrier using both guide pins - arrows -.

-

Install both protective caps.

-

Install the retaining spring to the brake caliper.
