‹› Torque wrench 5-50 Nm (VAG 1331)
‹› Socket and extended bit (T10107A)
Removing

First, check whether a coded radio is installed. If necessary, obtain the anti-theft coding.

Disconnect the battery..

Remove the engine cover with air filter. Refer to --> [ Engine Cover with Air Filter ] See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner
Housing/Service and Repair/Engine Cover with Air Filter.
CAUTION!
Fuel supply line is under pressure! Wear protective goggles and protective clothing to prevent injuries and contact with skin. Before
loosening the fuel lines, place a cloth around the connection point. Then release pressure by carefully disconnecting the connection.

Disconnect the vacuum line - 2 - (engine codes BGP, BGQ, CBTA and CBUA only), the ventilation line - 1 - and the fuel supply line - 3 -. Press
in the securing ring to disengage the lines.

Disconnect electrical connectors - 1 -, - 2 - and - 6 -.
