Remove the bolts - arrows -.

-

Unbolt the cable guide from the subframe - arrow -. 

-

Unclip all other cable mounting points on the steering gear.

-

Disconnect all electrical connectors from the steering gear.

-

Carefully lower the subframe using the (VAG 1383A).

-

Lift the steering gear down from the subframe.

-

Lay the steering gear aside as depicted in the illustration.
