Adjusting Front Driver Side Door Alignment for New Beetle

The door hinges on the-pillar must be loosened to ensure a correct adjustment of door. Other measures such as raising the door have no effect. Subsequent pressure from above will cause the door to sack again.
   
Upper door hinge 05.00
1 - Door hinge
2 - Stud
3 - Nut (20 Nm + 90°)
4 - Bolt (20 Nm + 90°)
5 - Bolt (27 Nm)

4 - Bolt (20 Nm + 90°)
5 - Bolt (27 Nm)

Lower door hinge
1 - Door hinge
2 - Grub screw (13 Nm)
3 - Bolt (20 Nm + 90°)
  Note
Always renew bolts -4- on upper hinge and -3- on lower hinge each time they are loosened. The threaded stud -2- must be renewed when the corresponding nut -3- on upper hinge is loosened.
