Removing

–	Remove seat → Chapter.

–	Remove head restraint.

–	Remove backrest → Chapter.

–	Separate cover -2- from beading strip -1- with a screwdriver -arrows-.

–  Unhook tensioning wires -1--arrows-. Seat backrest (leather version)

–  Lever off backrest release operating device -1- and securing clip -2-, unclip trim -3- at top and pull off upwards.   Note Always renew securing clip -2-. Seat backrest (plastic version)

–  Lever off backrest release operating device -1-, securing clip -2- and trim -3-.   Note Always renew securing clip -2-. Continued for all vehicles

–  Press backrest padding below guide -2- downwards and release the locking lug -1- with a screwdriver or drift. –  Pull head restraint guides -2- out.

–  Pull off cover up to padding wire -1-. –  Unhook padding wire -1- on backrest frame. –  Unhook cover tabs -arrows- on backrest frame.   Note Note or mark installation position of hooks on backrest frame.

–  Pull cover further upwards to the padding wire -1- on front of backrest. –  Unhook padding wire -1- on padding. –  Cut through padding clips -2- and take cover off padding.
