Replacing net and door storage compartment

–  Grind/sand projecting pin material off door storage compartment -1- until the old net and storage compartment can be removed. The pin remains will be used to position the replacement storage compartment. Therefore do not remove them completely! –  Remove protective padding -2- (only when necessary). In this case the padding must be replaced.   Note Sometimes the protective padding -2- must be replaced, when the bonded protective padding-2- covers the door storage compartment -1- or when the storage compartment -1- securing pins are not accessible.

–  If an outrigger -2- is located on the bracket -1-, then this must be separated. (New brackets are not manufactured with an outrigger)

–  Position new door storage compartment -1- with net on bracket -2-. Four holes must be drilled in the door trim panel to secure the bracket to the door trim panel.

–  To mark positions for the four holes, hold bracket -1- with door storage compartment -2- against door trim -3-.   Note t  Door storage compartment must be positioned over old securing pins. t  The bracket must push the door storage compartment against the door trim. –  Drill two 5 mm diameter holes -6- in lower section of door handle -7- for the projections -8- on upper securing point of bracket -1-.

–  Hook bracket -1- with projections -8- in holes -6- and press lower side of bracket against door trim -arrows-. Mark position for lower holes -2- for the bracket. –  Remove bracket -1- and door storage compartment -5- and drill two 3.5 mm diameter holes. –  Hook bracket -1- and door storage compartment -5- in again and secure to door trim panel with speed nuts (panel nuts) -4- and cross-head screws -3-.

–  If the protective padding -1- has been removed, stick new protective padding to door trim panel -2- using 2-K adhesive -D173 KD2 A1-.
