Removing   Note The removal and installation procedures may have to be modified slightly depending on equipment variants. –  Remove upper A-pillar trim → Chapter. –  Release upper part of door inner seal.

–  Lever vanity light out using a screwdriver and disconnect electrical connections.

–  Release sun visor -1- from support -2-. –  Lever off cap -6-. –  Remove bolt -5-. –  Release sun visor mounting -4- from support and separate connector -3-. –  Lever off cap -7-. –  Remove bolts -8- and remove retainer -2-.

–  Pull rear edge of trim -1- (with clock) downwards off trim and unhook trim along forward edge. –  Disconnect connection -2- for interior light (and clock).

–  Push interior mirror -1- downward at an angle -arrow- off retaining plate (spring clip in mirror base). Models with a spectacles compartment above windscreen (on roof moulded headliner)

–  Open spectacles compartment and unclip cover -2--arrow- –  Remove insert for spectacles compartment from interior. –  Remove bolts -1- and -3- –  Remove spectacles compartment from roof moulded headliner Models with a spectacles compartment on driver side (on roof moulded headliner)

–  Open spectacles compartment -1- downwards. –  Lever covers -2- upwards using screwdriver and fold open. –  Unscrew cross-head screws -3- and take off spectacles compartment -1-. Models with sliding/tilting sunroof

–  Unclip trim -1- in direction of -arrow- and remove.

–  Remove bolts -1- and carefully unclip retaining frame locking pins -arrows- of automatic pre-selector.

–  Pull off connector -arrow-

–  Fold grab handle -1- downwards. –  Lever covers -2- upwards using screwdriver and fold open. –  Unscrew cross-head screws -3- and take off handle -1-.

–  Unclip cover -1-. Models with no interior monitor

–  Remove interior light and disconnect electrical connections.

Removing reading light with interior monitor

–	Press interior light spring -2- to rear with release tool. -1-

–	Pull out reading light -3- and disconnect connection.

When pressing spring -2- with the release tool -1-, ensure that the tool is not inserted between the headliner -4- and the metal frame in the headliner -5-.

Models with sliding/tilting sunroof

–  Carefully unclip headliner along forward edge of roof aperture -arrows-.

Continued for all vehicles

–	Pull front of moulded headliner -1- downwards and swing away down below the windscreen over B-pillar trim -2--arrow-.

–	Lower moulded headliner -1- with assistance of a second mechanic (caution: danger of breakage!) and remove from vehicle.
