Installing
Installing
–  Fit swivel joint in wheel bearing housing.
   
–  Screw on new self-locking nut and counter hold with Torx key T40.
1 - Torx key T40
2 - Ring spanner insert or slotted ring spanner insert ⇒ Fig. V40-1323
3 - -V.A.G 1331-
–  Insert drive shaft.
–  Secure swivel joint to suspension link (bolts on old marks).
  N40-0261
Use new bolts!
1 - Slotted ring spanner insert (commercial type, 18 mm)
2 - Slotted ring spanner insert (commercial type, 18 mm)
  Note
Ensure that bellows are not damaged or twisted.
–  Install wheel and tighten bolts or nuts → Chapter.
–  Tighten 12-point nut → Chapter.
Specified torques → Chapter
  V40-1323
