Adjusting toe setting on rear axle (front-wheel drive vehicles)

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Torque wrench -V.A.G 1332-

If a value lies outside the tolerances, the vehicle's transverse inclination must be checked and compensated if necessary, → Chapter.

The total toe setting at the rear wheels cannot be adjusted.

The individual toe values can be aligned evenly by moving the mounting brackets.

If the measured values lie outside the permitted tolerances, the axle body must be checked for damage and if necessary renewed.

–	Loosen all bolts on mounting bracket -1-.

–	Move mounting bracket -1- laterally -arrows-.

2 -	Rear axle beam

–	Tighten bolts to 75 Nm.

–	Always use new bolts!
