The PTFE seal (Teflon), which is gradually introduced, can be used instead of the older type seal with annular spring.

Distinguishing feature: The older type seal with an annular spring has only one sealing lip - arrow 1 -, which is pressed by the spring. The PTFE
seal has a thread type contact surface - arrow 2 -, but does not have an annular spring.

PTFE seals are allocated to the shaft direction of rotation (see arrow on seal). A wrong direction of rotation leads to oil leakage.

PTFE seals must be installed free of oil and grease. The shaft must also be free of oil and grease.

When installing, the contact surface of the PTFE seal must not be stretched too much. This is the reason why it must not be installed with the guide
sleeve for seals with an annular spring.

Always install a PTFE seal as spare part if a PTFE seal has been used before!
