Remove screw -1- (10 Nm) attaching both the power steering fluid reservoir and the battery positive ( + ) cable clip holder.

Remove clip holder.

Remove screw -2- (8.1 Nm) attaching air cleaner to battery platform.
CAUTION:
-
Ensure that the power steering fluid reservoir, air cleaner or other components are not damaged upon removal of battery. Carefully move the
reservoir, air cleaner and other components away from the battery area as necessary for clearance.

Do not disconnect power steering hoses from reservoir.

Carefully slide battery to left and lift from battery tray.

Remove plastic retainer clip -1-.

Remove battery shield by gently pressing down and sideways -arrow-.
CAUTION: Use care when removing battery shield in order to prevent damage to clips. See detail.

If it is necessary to remove the battery carrier, remove screws (8.3 Nm) and remove battery carrier.
Installing
To be sure the battery seats securely, only install batteries with a 10.5 mm battery foot strip and adhere to the following work sequences:
