ATF Level, Topping Up

ATF level, topping up, 09G, 6 Spd. A/T 

If no ATF leaks out of overflow pipe - arrow2 - before ATF temperature reaches 40°C, top up the ATF level.

Note:  Reinstall the ATF control plug at the latest before the temperature reaches 45°C (50°C for hot climates). If necessary switch off the engine,
allow the transmission to cool down and repeat the check. 

CAUTION: 
-

When working in the vicinity of the radiator, ensure sufficient clearance is left for the radiator coolant fan.

The radiator coolant fan can switch on without prior warning.

Pry off plug securing cap - arrow - with a screwdriver. Cap locking device will be damaged when removing, therefore always replace cap.

Pull plug out of filler pipe.

-

Fill with ATF using ATF filler tool V.A.G1924 until ATF runs out of level hole.

CAUTION:  An insufficient filling with ATF as well as filling to excess affects the function of the transmission.
