‹› If damaged, replace the cylinder head cover seal and the bolt seals.

Clean the sealing surfaces thoroughly with a clean cloth.

Place a drop of sealant (AMV 174 004 01 ) (dia. approximately 5 mm) on both edges on the sealing surfaces of the front bearing cover/cylinder
head- arrows -.

Place a drop of sealant (AMV 174 004 01 ) (dia. approximately 5 mm) on both edges on the sealing surfaces of the rear bearing cover/cylinder
head- arrows -.

Install the cylinder head cover.

Hand-tighten the cylinder head cover bolts in the sequence - 1 to 13 -.
