Engine Oil: Fluid Type Specifications

Only oil meeting VW oil quality standard ............................................................................................................................ VW 504 00 / 507 00 low ash oil
Use oil viscosity ........................................................................................................................................................................................................... 5W-40
if not available, 5W30 or 0W40.

Do not overfill! Overfilling engine oil can cause misfire DTCs to be stored in ECM (J220). To prevent overfill, add approx. 0.5L less than capacity, start
engine and let run until engine operating temp is appox. 60°C (140°F), turn OFF ignition, wait approx. 3 minutes, check dipstick, then fill to MAX.  See
