New Beetle L4-1.9L DSL Turbo (BEW) (2006)
Refer to User's instructions of (VAS 1978 B)
Crimping Pliers
On wire cross-sections and contacts up to 0.35 mm 2 it is very important to use the (VAS 1978/9A). As current in small cross-section cables is in the
micro/milliamp range, any shortcomings in conductor or terminal contact integrity will result in electrical system or component malfunctions. Use of
(VAS 1978/9A) ensures correct conductor to terminal conductivity, as well as terminal seal function. Most commonly used applications of these
terminals are:
‹› Oxygen sensor
‹› Speed (RPM) sensor
‹› Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
The (VAS 1978/9A) are to be used when working on sealed contacts. In addition, cables of 0.35 mm2 can effectively be stripped to the correct length
in preparation of termination.
