Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection
Senders For Hydraulic Pressure, Automatic Transmission, Checking

Respective fuses must be OK: Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting & Component Locations

Battery voltage must be at least 11.5 volts.

Selector lever must be in -P- position.
-
Ground (GND) connections to transmission must be OK.

Transmission must be OK mechanically.
Test sequence
-
Disconnect 20-pin harness connector to Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic -J743- on transmission.
Observe safety precautions.

Check harness connector for contact corrosion and ingress of water.
If harness connector is not OK:

Repair the malfunction.

Erase DTC memory of Transmission Control Module (TCM), Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data. See: Powertrain
Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC
Memory

Generate readiness code.
If harness connector is OK:

Replace Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic -J743-.
NOTE: Sender 1 for hydraulic pressure, automatic transmission -G193- and Sender 2 for hydraulic pressure, automatic transmission -G194- are
components of the Mechatronic unit and cannot be replaced individually.
