Check wires between test box and 12-pin connector to Transmission Control Module (TCM) for open circuit according to wiring diagram. Wire
resistance: max. 1.5 ohms

Check wires for short circuit to each other.

Specified value: infinity ohms

If no malfunctions are found in wires:

-

Replace circuit board or valve body: valve body,removing and installing.

Erase DTC memory of Transmission Control Module (TCM), Diagnostic mode 4: Reset/erase diagnostic data. See: Powertrain

Memory

Generate readiness code. 

02E, 6 Speed Direct Shift A/T

Solenoid Valves, Checking

-

Respective fuses must be OK: Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Troubleshooting & Component Locations

-

Battery voltage must be at least 11.5 volts.

-

Selector lever must be in -P- position.

-

Ground (GND) connections to transmission must be OK.

-

Transmission must be OK mechanically.

Test sequence

-

Disconnect 20-pin harness connector to Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic -J743- on transmission.
Observe safety precautions.

-

Check harness connector for contact corrosion and ingress of water.

If harness connector is not OK:

-

Repair the malfunction.

-
