Passive Occupant Detection System (PODS) (USA), Removing and Installing

Removing

NOTE:

-

All cables that are disconnected in order to remove PODS must be reconnected in original position when PODS is replaced.

-

Before working with PODS system, observe how all cables are connected and routed.

-

Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap.

-

Remove front passenger's seat (install airbag adapter VAS 5094).

-

Remove screw -arrow- on inner side of seat

-

Remove plastic rivet -1- on front part of seat

-

Remove plastic cover -2- by unclipping it from lower part of seat -3-.

Remove screw -arrow-
