Steering Angle Sensor: Service and Repair

Steering angle sensor -G85-, removing and installing

Removing airbag module and steering wheel.
Refer to Restraint System, Air Bag, Service and Repair. Steering and Suspension. Steering Wheel, Refer to Steering and Suspension, Steering
Wheel,Service and Repair.

Turn wheels to straight ahead position.

-

Take out covering in footwell.

-

Remove bolts -1-.

-

Take off handle for height and reach adjustment -5-.

-

Unscrew bolts -2-, -3- and -4-.

-

Take off lower steering column switch trim.

-

Remove upper steering column switch trim -1-.

The steering angle sensor -G85- is installed in a housing -1- together with the coil connector.
