The battery voltage must be at least 11.5 V

Test sequence
Observe safety precautions, Refer to Powertrain Management,Fuel Delivery and Air Induction, Service Precautions, Vehicle damage Warnings

Connect scan tool VAG1551 or 1552 and select engine control module with the "Address word" 01. When doing this switch on ignition.
Refer to Powertrain Management; VAG1551 scan tool, connecting and selecting engine control module.

Indicated on display

Press keys 0 and 8 for function "Read Measured Value Block" and confirm entry with Q key.

Indicated on display

Press keys 0, 6 and 2 for "Display group number 62" and confirm entry with Q key.

Indicated on display: (1 -4 = Display zones)

Check specified value for Throttle Position (TP) sensor -G79- at idling stop in display zone 3. Specification: 12...97%
