Switch ignition off.
If the display does not change:

Remove driver's storage compartment:
-
Disconnect 2-pin connector off clutch pedal position switch.

Measure resistance between switch terminals 1 and 2. Specification:
-
Clutch not depressed: max. 1.5 Ohms
-
Clutch depressed: Infinity Ohms (no continuity)
If the specifications are not obtained:
-
Replace clutch pedal position switch (F36).
NOTE: Observe installation position of clutch pedal position switch in bearing bracket upper assembly hole.

Check DTC memory, if necessary, repair any malfunctions and then erase DTC memory. Refer to "Displaying and Reading Trouble Codes/With
Manufacturers Scan Tool/DTC Memory Checking and Erasing" See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection

Read readiness code. If DTC memory has been erased or engine control module was disconnected from permanent positive, readiness code must
be generated again.

If the specifications are obtained:

Connect multimeter using auxiliary cables from V.A.G 1594 to measure voltage between terminal 1 and Ground.

Switch ignition on.
Specification: min. 11.5 V
