Removing
The tie rods can only be removed and installed with the steering gear removed.
Removing and installing power steering gear, Refer to Steering Gear, Service and Repair

Seal line/hose connections on power assisted steering gear (if not already done).

Clean outside of power steering gear in area of boot.

Open hose clamps and push boot back.
-
Clamp steering gear in vise and unscrew tie rod.
