Remove nuts -2- securing amplifier

Remove amplifier from holding bracket and disconnect connectors from end of amplifier

NOTE:  Removing of the round cover -arrow- in the side trim panel may provide better access for disconnecting the connectors

Obtain new amplifier (1C0 035 456 A) with green label (CORRIENTE OK), reconnect electrical connectors and slide amplifier into groove of
holding bracket

Secure with nuts -2- and tighten to 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.)

Reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal and tighten nut to 6 Nm (53 in. lbs.)

Perform the power restoration procedure

-

Activate radio with anti theft code and check for correct operation

-

Reinstall round cover in trim panel (if removed) and lock carrier trim panel

NOTE:  Make certain weather strip seal is correctly positioned on lock carrier trim panel

Reposition luggage compartment rear carpeting

-

The removed amplifier must be returned to Volkswagen of America Warranty Test Center Attn: VK Service Action
