Turn steering wheel -2- to center position (wheels in straight-ahead position).

Remove Hex socket (Allen key) head bolt -1-. Torque setting: 60 Nm (44 ft lb)
NOTE: The bolt is coated with locking compound and can be reused upto five times. Mark with a center punch mark after each reinstallation.

Pull steering wheel -2- off steering column.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Observe safety precautions for working on airbags

Never let anyone sit in the passenger compartment when the airbag system is being worked on, especially when the airbag system is being
connected to a power source or the battery is being reconnected.

Switch ignition off.

Open doors
-
Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap
-
Remove glove compartment for better access to harness connector.
