Remove lower trim - 3 - for the steering column switch. 

‹› For easier removal of lower trim, remove height adjustment handle (two bolts).

Models without ESP

Remove harness connector - 1 -

-

Release the catches - arrows - and pull the return spring with the slip ring from the steering column switch.

‹› Wheels must be in straight-ahead position when removing or installing return spring with slip ring.

‹› A new return spring with slip ring is secured in the center position with a cable tie.

Vehicles with ESP

-

The steering angle sensor (G85) is installed in vehicles with ESP in housing - 1 - of the return spring with slip ring.

Disconnect harness connectors - 1 - and -  2 -.
