Voltage Regulator: Service and Repair

Voltage Regulator

From 05.1999

CAUTION!
Disconnect the Battery (A) before working on the electrical system. Refer to => [ Battery A, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See:
Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery A, Disconnecting and Connecting. 

‹› Get the radio anti-theft code before disconnecting the Battery (A)

‹› After connecting the Battery (A), check any affected system or component (radio, clock, comfort electrical connection etc.) according to the repair

information and/or the operating instructions.

Removing

-

Remove the nuts - arrows A - and screw -  arrow B - on the cap.

-

Remove protective cap.

-

Remove the screws - arrows - on the Voltage Regulator (C1).

-

Remove the Voltage Regulator (C1) from the Generator (C).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
