Clutch Assembly Overview, Sachs

‹› Make sure alignment sleeves for centering engine/transmission are installed in cylinder block; install if necessary. 

‹› If centering sleeves are not present, problems with shifting, changing gears and possibly a noisy transmission (idler rattling) may occur.

Dual-mass flywheel

‹› Make sure centering pins are in place and seated correctly

‹› Contact surface for clutch lining must be free of grooves, oil and grease

Clutch plate

‹› Removing and installing => [ Clutch, Sachs ] See: Service and Repair/Clutch, Sachs.

‹› Only replace together with pressure plate
