Function test => [ Brake Booster Brake Assist, Checking Function, from 12.01 ] See: Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake Booster/Testing and
Inspection.

‹› Disconnect from brake pedal => [ Brake Pedal to Brake Booster, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Brake Pedal Assy/Service and

Repair/Brake Pedal to Brake Booster, Disconnecting and Connecting.

‹› Removing and installing => [ Brake Booster ] See: Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake Booster/Service and Repair/Brake Booster.

Brake fluid reservoir, left-hand drive vehicles

Sealing plugs

‹› Coat with brake fluid and press into expansion tank

Retaining pin

‹› Insert through master brake cylinder

Brake master cylinder, left-hand drive vehicles

‹› Must not be serviced. Replace as complete unit if malfunctioning.

Retaining plate

‹› Helps secure wiring harness

Self-locking hex nut, 20 Nm

Brake fluid reservoir, right-hand drive vehicles

Retaining plate

‹› Helps secure wiring harness

Bleeder valve

Brake master cylinder, right-hand drive vehicles

‹› Must not be serviced. Replace as complete unit if malfunctioning.

Brake pressure sensor 1 (G201)

Gasket

‹› For brake booster

Self-locking hex nut, 20 Nm

‹› Check for proper seat, danger of intake noises
