Center Instrument Panel Switches

‹› When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim panels), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (plastic

sedge, screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

Center Instrument Panel Switches

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹›  (VAS 3409)

Removing and installing all the switches is identical. Removing and installing the Emergency Flasher Switch (E3) (through 05.2003) is described here.

The switch must be pulled out of the instrument panel together with the connected harness, in order to separate the connector.

CAUTION!
‹› Turn off the ignition and all electrical components.

‹› Remove the key.

‹› When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying

tool ( (VAS 3409), screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

-

Tape off the switch next to the Emergency Flasher Switch (E3) with tape.

Push in the switch with the tape on it. Then carefully pry out the Emergency Flasher Switch (E3) using the ( VAS 3409) or a screwdriver along the
long side of the switch.

Disconnect connectors.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
