Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Front Suspension

Coil Spring

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

‹› Spring compressor (V.A.G 1752/1)

‹› Spring bracket (V.A.G 1752/4)

‹› Shock absorber set (T10001)

Remove strut => [ Strut ] See: Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and Repair/Front Suspension/Strut.

Removing

-

Preload coil spring using spring compressor ( V.A.G 1752/1-) far enough until top spring plate is free.

-

Remove nut from piston rod.

-

Remove individual components of suspension strut and coil spring with spring compressor (V.A.G 1752/1-).

CAUTION!
First compress spring far enough so that tension is relieved on upper spring plate!
