| When the ignition is switched on, the airbag warning lamp -K75- lights up for about 3 seconds and then goes out again. |
| If the airbag warning lamp -K75- does not go out again, the voltage supply to the airbag control unit (J 234) has an open circuit. Fault rectification → Chapter. |
| If there is a fault, the airbag warning lamp -K75- lights up again. |
| At start of fault finding, initiate self-diagnosis and interrogate stored information using fault reader -V.A.G 1551-. |
| Fault information displayed makes reference via fault table with notes to possible causes of fault for purposes of targeted repairs. |
