  Note
If necessary, obtain radio unit code before disconnecting battery.
–  Disconnect battery earth strap at battery → Rep. Gr.27.
–  Remove radio.
–  Remove driver side airbag unit (if fitted) → Chapter.
–  Remove front passenger side airbag unit (if fitted) → Chapter.
–  Remove knee pad (if fitted) → Chapter.
–  Remove centre console → Chapter.
–  Remove driver stowage compartment → Chapter.
–  Remove front passenger stowage compartment → Chapter.
   
–  Unclip trim for heater controls -3- and remove cross-head screws from dash panel trim -2-.
–  Push controls -1- with cables attached under dash panel.

–  Drill out shear bolts of steering column and lower steering column.
–  Separate wiring connection -1- or pull off connector.
–  Pull off or unscrew earth leads on left and right behind dash panel -2-.
–  Only pull off connectors on ZE -3- that emerge from wiring harness of dash panel.
Do not open clips from wiring harness on dash panel.
–  Remove cover caps and unscrew bolts.

–  Pull clips -1- on air vent housing outwards.
–  Unscrew front bolts of support, loosen rear bolts and fold back support.
–  Carefully pull off dash panel.
