Installing > < Removing and installing door insulation film

Passat (B3)

Removing
Removing
–  Removing door trim → Chapter or → Chapter.
   
–  Push the securing clip out of the hole in the inner door panel.
–  Press out release handle in direction of arrow from mountings and unhook linkage -1-.

–  Remove cross-head screws -arrows-, take off door loudspeaker with frame and separate connector.

–  Push in spreader pins -1- of retaining bracket and trim clip using a drift (Ø approx. 3 mm) and lever out retaining bracket or trim clip -2-.
  Note
t  Check condition of retaining bracket/trim clip and renew when installing, if necessary.
t  Take out spreader pins of retaining bracket/trim clip from door after removing insulation film.

–  Pull off insulation foil around circumference in sections (each approx. 15 cm). When doing this, hold film as close as possible to the adhesive (shaded area).
