Removing

–  Pull off adjusting knob -1- for mirror adjustment.   Note Illustration is for vehicles with electric mirror adjustment. (Manual mirror adjustment → Chapter).

–  Lever out cover -1- from base of door puller -2-. Vehicles with electric window regulators and /or electric mirror adjustment

–  Separate connector -1- for front left or right window regulator switch -E40 bzw. E41- and connector -2- for mirror adjustment switch -E43-. Vehicles with mechanical window regulators

–  Unclip cover in -direction of arrow-. –  Unscrew bolt -2- with lock washer. –  Pull off crank. –  Pull off sleeve -2- (front door only).   Note Installation position with window closed 45 ° ± 12 °. Continued for all vehicles

–  Remove cross-head screws -1-.

–  Remove cross-head screws -1- and -2- on front and rear edge of door trim.

–  Pull out door trim -1- at top from window aperture -arrow-.   Note If the trim cannot be pulled off in the area of surround -2- because of insufficient space, the surround should also be removed.

–  Separate connector -1- for immobiliser warning lamp -K117- (driver side only). –  Lift off door trim at bottom from retaining brackets.
