Installing > < Removing and installing brake pads

Passat (B3)

Removing
Removing
–  Remove wheels.
   
–  Remove handbrake cable from brake caliper -arrow-.
  N46-0011
–  Remove securing bolts from brake caliper housing, when doing this counter-hold on guide pins.
–  Remove brake pads and pad retaining springs.
–  Clean brake caliper housing, particularly the adhesive surface for brake pad. It must be free of adhesive material and grease.
