Pre-bleeding brake caliper > < Removing

Installing
   
–  Place protective cap with outer sealing lip on piston.
  V47-0423
–  Using a screwdriver, insert inner sealing lip of protective cap into grove in brake caliper housing.
  Note
When doing this hold piston in front of caliper housing.

–  Screw piston into housing by turning knurled wheel clockwise.
  Note
t  Apply resetting and removal tool -3272- so that collar -arrow- of tool rests on brake caliper.
t  If piston is difficult to move, use a 13 mm open jaw spanner on flats -arrow A- provided for this purpose.
t  If the piston is pushed back with a piston resetting tool or by operating the foot brake the automatic adjustment in the brake caliper is destroyed.
–  Insert brake pads.
