Repairing Teves/ATE front brake caliper
  Note
t  Install complete repair kit when servicing.
t  Apply thin coat of brake cylinder paste to brake cylinder, piston and seal.
1 - Protective cap
q   Push onto bleeder valve.
2 - Bleed valve
q   Apply thin coat of brake cylinder paste to threads before screwing in.
3 - Protective caps
q   Insert into bush.
4 - Guide pin, 25 Nm
5 - Bearing bush
q   Insert into brake caliper housing.
6 - Brake caliper housing
7 - Brake carrier
q   Bolt to brake caliper housing.
8 - Retaining spring
q   Insert with both ends in the holes in brake caliper housing.
9 - Sealing ring
q   Remove using a screwdriver → Fig..
10 - Piston
q   Use compressed air to press out of brake caliper housing → Fig..
q   Installing → Fig., → Fig. and → Fig.
q   First coat piston lightly with brake cylinder paste.
q   Piston diameter 54 mm
11 - Protective cap
q   Do not damage when inserting piston.

   
Pressing piston out of brake caliper housing using compressed air
  Note
Place a piece of wood in the recess to prevent damaging the piston.

Carefully remove seal using a screwdriver

Place outer sealing lip of protective cap on the piston

Using a screwdriver, insert inner sealing lip into grove in cylinder
  Note
When doing this hold piston in front of cylinder.

Pressing piston with piston resetting tool into brake caliper housing
  Note
The outer sealing lip of the protective cap will then lock in the groove on piston.
