Installing > < Removing and installing drive shaft (plus running gear)

Removing
–  Only tighten 12-point nut when vehicle is standing on wheels.
–  Unbolt drive shaft from gearbox flange shaft.
   
–  Unscrew bolts -arrow A-.
–  Loosen bolt -arrow B-.
–  Separate swivel joint/suspension link First mark installation position.

–  Press out drive shaft. Position tool as shown in illustration for this.
  Note
t  Ensure sufficient clearance when pressing out drive shaft.
t  Swedish version vehicles; remove distance counter.
