Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair
"Premium VI" (Incl. "Monsoon"), Removing and Installing

"Premium VI" (incl. "Monsoon") removing and installing

Special tools, testers, and auxiliary items needed

Recommended: Radio removal tool JC4225

-

Optional: Radio removal tool set T10057 (two identical pieces).

NOTE:

Individual tools are marked "Top L" for and both left upper and lower openings and "Top R" for both right upper and lower openings.

Removing

CAUTION: Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:

Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.
Switch off all electrical consumers.
Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Insert tools into openings on face of radio -arrows- until they engage.

NOTE:

Use of separate tools T10057 is illustrated here. Procedure is essentially the same for tool JC4225 where all release prongs are integrated
into a frame.

Pull radio from instrument panel using handles on tools T10057 or frame of tool JC4225

Disconnect electrical connection and antenna cable connection

Note:

Radio must be pulled straight out from opening. Do not twist or tilt tools while removing.
