Before installing clutch slave cylinder into transmission housing, coat boot area - a - with lithium grease G 052 150 A2.

Engage bracket - 3 -for hose/line assembly - 1 - at slave cylinder - 4 -.

^

Guide slave cylinder - 1 - as far as possible and without lateral deviation from working direction of plunger - arrow A - into bore of transmission
housing.

While doing so, insert into recess - arrow B - of clutch release lever - 3 -.

Tighten new hex socket bolt - 2 - to transmission. To do so, push slave cylinder enough so that hex socket bolt can be installed.

If clutch slave cylinder - 1 - is inserted crooked, there is a possibility that plunger - arrow A - will be inserted past clutch release lever - 3 -.

CAUTION: 
Carefully operate clutch pedal after installing slave cylinder.

Clutch pedal may no longer be operated, if an unusually heavy pressure point is detected when depressing clutch pedal.
