Vehicles with a threaded hole on front face of rear final drive

Mount measuring tools.

Vehicles without threaded hole in front side of rear final drive 

-

Mount assembly appliance VW 792 in center hole (arrow) for right side axle shaft protective plate.

Mount universal dial gauge bracket VW 387 with dial gauge to assembly appliance VW 792.

Continuation for all vehicles 

-

Set dial gauge to zero with 1 mm preload and position on ground surface (arrow) in flange.

-

Turn flange one complete rotation.

-

Mark maximum run-out on edge of flange with a colored dot (corresponds to maximum distance from rotational axis).

-

Remove previous marks on flange.
