Push shift rod on so that securing bolt fits into recess of shift rod.

^

Secure shift rod - arrow A - first.

^

Secure pivot rod to transmission - arrow B -.

^

Assemble exhaust system.

Note:

Requirements for a correct shift adjustment are the following points:

^

Components of shift mechanism and linkage must be in proper working condition.

^

Shift mechanism must move freely

^

Furthermore, transmission, clutch and clutch mechanism must be in proper working condition. 

^

Transmission in neutral 

^

Carefully pry off shift lever boot from center console.

^

Remove shift knob with shift lever boot. 

^

As of 1100, remove shift knob with shift lever boot.

^

Rubber cover for shift mechanism housing must be unscrewed - arrows -.

^

Measure distance between chassis and shift mechanism.
