Throttle Position Sensor/Switch: Locations

Throttle Position (TP) Sensors -G69- and -G79- and Accelerator Pedal Position Sender -G185-

On vehicles with data bus, the signal comes from the bus. On these vehicles, the data bus interface is checked in addition.

If the transmission control module signals are shown as faulty in the vehicle On Board Diagnosis (OBD). On Board Diagnosis (OBD) of the engine
control module must also be performed at all times.

Perform initial setting of engine control module following replacement or readjustment of throttle valve potentiometer or accelerator pedal position
sender.

Locations:

The potentiometer is part of the throttle valve control module -J338-. It is located on the throttle valve housing/intake manifold.

The throttle position sensor -G79- -arrow- is part of the electronic power control (EPC) and is located on the pedal cluster.
