Axle Oil In Transfer Case, Draining and Filling After Repair
Axle oil in transfer case, draining and filling after repair, 01V, 5 SPD. A/T (AWD)
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
Drip tray V.A.G. 1306
Torque wrench 550 Nm V.A.G. 1331

Drive the vehicle onto a 4-column lift or over a work pit so that it is level.
^
Remove right front exhaust pipe.
Axle oil, draining
^
Place drip tray V.A.G. 1306 underneath.
^
Remove drain plug - arrow A - and drain axle oil.
^
Always replace drain plug.
^
Install new drain plug - arrow A - again.
Axle oil, filling
