Thermostat: Service and Repair

Coolant Pump & Thermostat

TO REPLACE THERMOSTAT: 

NOTE: The thermostat is mounted in the bottom of the coolant pump.

Procedure: 

1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the outlet flange mounting bolts. Remove the flange and the thermostat.
3. Position the new thermostat and 0-ring in the outlet. Install the thermostat housing.
4. Refill the cooling system.

Tightening Torque:

-

Thermostat flange to coolant pump:  10 Nm (89 in lb).
