EGR Temperature Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Intake Air Temperature Sensor

1.

Warm the engine to normal operating temperatures.

2.

With the ignition "OFF", disconnect the intake air temperature sensor and measure the resistance between the 2 terminals of the sensor.

NOTE: It will be necessary to take an accurate measurement of the ambient air temperature within the intake manifold.

Intake Air Temperature Chart (EGR)

Refer to the intake air temperature graph for the correct measurement.

If the correct measurement is not obtained replace the intake air temperature sensor.
